After this experience with creating a blog I realize that there are a lot of things that can be accessed through the internet. I did not realize that creating a blog was so easy and I think it is a good tool to have for an activity at least.

I think that blogs are useful for in education because it opens up many oppurtunities for the teacher. For example, an online journal would be fun for the students and they would pick up many skills including writing and typing and ability to work with the interenet. Blogs could be very beneficial to education as long as they do not get to personal.

In response to blogs being a waste of time I would have to disagree. Blogs are part of the internet and it is important to understand the ease of creating such an interesting site. I think that they can be helpful in all classrooms so therfore I think it is unfair to believe that blogs arte a waste of time.

Chapter 6 deals with a few areas that are relevant to my curriculum in the classroom one day. Knowledge forum is discussed in this cahpter which deals with a process in which the students must be contributors. The students are required to make decisions and analyze problems. I thought that this section related to my classroom because I intend to push all students to work hard and see education from all angles. Another interesting section of this chapter deals with wikis. Wikis are as the book states, "allows you to add, remove, or edit and change available content." I think that this chapter details areas that can be constituted as part of you classroom's curriculum, but creating the blog really has inspired me to form some sort of discussion group or journaling by using blogs although it may be optional at first as a trial.
